Robyn Horn
Robyn has a master’s degree in Long-Term Care Administration from the University of North Texas as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She served as a licensed nursing home administrator for 13 years which included two years at an Alzheimer’s assisted living facility. In 2007, Robyn founded H.I.S Cornerstone with the passion to help the elderly through the development of continuing education (CEs) for healthcare professionals.

Emily Briggs, OTR/L
Laurie Walther, M.S., CCC-SLP, and Emily Briggs, OTR/L, are licensed therapists who are independently certified to train on Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care (PAC) techniques. They are the co-founders and principals of Empowering Care Partners, a company that provides training and consulting to individuals living with dementia and their care partners, including family members, dementia care professionals, and organizations. With over 50 years of combined experience as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and Occupational Therapist (OT), respectively, they have worked in acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, memory care communities, assisted living communities, independent living communities, and home health.

Liza Ovington, PhD, FACCWS, MWC
Liza holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Duke University. She is board certified in wound care by the American Board of Wound Management and is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists. She also holds a certification in medical writing from the American Medical Writers Association.
Liza joined J&J in 1986 where she led product development teams in consumer wound care. In 1991, she left J&J to pursue research in wound healing and infection control at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. After further work experience in home healthcare and independent wound management consulting, Liza rejoined J&J in 2004 in Medical Affairs for 16 years. She retired in late 2020 and is a consulting Medical Director for Ethicon Wound Closure & Healing.
